Biography

Ms. Levien’s practice focuses on complex business litigation. She has achieved highly favorable results representing clients in high-stakes litigation over a variety of matters, including commercial contracts, trade secret misappropriation and other intellectual property disputes, unfair business practices and business torts, premises liability, and wrongful death. Prior to joining Trépanier & Tajima, Ms. Levien was a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins LLP and Crockett & Associates.

Ms. Levien is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation, including conducting complex discovery, dispositive motion practice, and trying cases to verdict. Notable achievements include obtaining a complete defense verdict in a federal jury trial for a banking institution against trade secret and fraud claims seeking over $1 billion in damages, obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a Grammy-nominated recording artist against premises liability and negligence claims by an individual, and negotiating a favorable wrongful death settlement on behalf of the family of an iconic actress after her tragic drowning. In addition to Ms. Levien’s $1 billion trade secret defense verdict, her trade secret practice includes defending one of the world’s largest concert promotion and ticketing companies against a competitor’s trade secret claims, defending an auto insurance provider against trade secret claims arising out of the hiring of a competitor’s former employees, and advancing trade secret claims relating to consumer goods and technology in the audiovisual entertainment market.

Ms. Levien received her J.D. in 2014 from UCLA Law School and was a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Ms. Levien served as a senior editor of the UCLA Law Review’s digital component, Discourse. Ms. Levien graduated summa cum laude from University of San Diego in 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science.
